Sanity: Headless CMS for Fast Websites.

Sanity separates content from design. Your team edits content in a clean interface, the website stays fast, and everything is reachable via API.

What is Sanity?

Content as data, not as pages.

Classic CMSs store content and presentation together. Sanity does it differently: content lives structured in the cloud, the website fetches it via API and builds the pages from it. That's called headless.

The advantage: a design change doesn't break any content. The same content ends up on the website, in an app or in a newsletter. And the editing interface, Sanity Studio, is tailored exactly to your content instead of a theme with 30 plugins.

95+PageSpeed score is realistic with a clean setup, on mobile too.
< 100 msresponse time when pages come from the CDN cache.
$0for the free plan, up to 20 users.
What can Sanity do?

Three things Sanity is particularly strong at.

Sanity isn't a click-together website builder. Here are the three areas where it makes the biggest difference.

Structured content instead of page mush

Every page is made of fixed blocks with clear fields. Nobody accidentally breaks the layout, and every piece of content has its place.

The result: Content stays clean, even with five people working on it.

API from day one

With Sanity, the API isn't a bolt-on, it's the foundation. Everything you can do in the Studio, you can do via API: import content, translate it, maintain it automatically, with AI too.

The result: Content work gets automated instead of typed up.

Fast, because nothing gets in the way

No theme, no plugin collection, no database query on every page view. Pages are built in advance and served from the cache. When content changes, a webhook rebuilds just that page.

The result: Load times that Google and AI crawlers like.

Sanity costs

What does Sanity cost?

Free: $0, up to 20 users, with fixed usage limits.

Growth: $15 per user per month. Read-only users are free.

Enterprise: on request.

As of October 2026, according to Sanity's pricing page (opens in new tab). On top come hosting for the website, for example on Vercel, and the one-off build. For most mid-sized companies, Free or a small Growth plan is enough.

PageSpeed

Why headless websites are fast.

A PageSpeed score above 95 isn't luck, it's the sum of many small levers.

Static instead of built live: Pages are generated once and served from the CDN, not assembled from the database on every request.

Images via an image CDN: Sanity serves images in the right size and a modern format, no plugin needed.

Little JavaScript: No page builder and no plugin bringing its own code. Only what the page actually needs.

Stable layout: Fixed blocks mean fixed sizes. Nothing jumps while loading, which the Core Web Vitals love.

Hosting at the edge: Platforms like Vercel serve the page from the nearest server.

The switch

From WordPress to Sanity, without losing SEO.

Switching doesn't mean starting from zero. Content is migrated via API, and the URL structure stays the same.

Where a new structure makes sense, redirects send the old URL to the new one. That way no SEO strength gets lost.

  • Content migrated via API instead of copied
  • URL structure kept or redirected
  • No more plugin update marathon
  • No comment spam, because there's no open comment section
  • Studio tailored to your own content
  • Multiple languages without an extra plugin

A website without plugin baggage.

If your website is slow, every update gives you a stomach ache or content gets lost in editor chaos: tell us what you need.
