Our take on tools
There is no perfect tool. Only the right one for your situation.
For almost every use case there are dozens of tools. Some promise to do everything. Most do something well, other things less well, and a few things not at all.
Tools differ in pricing model, focus, customisability and maintainability. What works for a 10-person team is often the wrong choice for a company with 500 employees. And vice versa.
What is listed here is a selection of tools we have real experience with. Not because they are the only ones that work, but because we know what they can do, where they hit their limits, and when you are better off with something else. This is not a complete list and not a ranking. It is an honest assessment from real work.
Sometimes a standard solution simply is not the right fit. A custom build can be the better choice in the long run.
